Old Fort Johnson

Montgomery County Historical Society is a private nonprofit organization. Our largest artifact, Old Fort Johnson, is listed as a National Historic Landmark, but we do not regularly receive any federal, state or local government funding for our operations. 

Old Fort Johnson is administered by a Board of Trustees elected by the membership, with part-time professional staff.

Financial donations keep the Old Fort open and operating. Your generous contribution goes directly to the upkeep and day-to-day costs of operation.
